Finzy Alterations Policies & Terms

By submitting an alteration request, scheduling a fitting, dropping off a garment, or paying for alteration services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

Alteration Limitations

Alterations modify an existing garment. Results may vary depending on garment construction, seam allowances, fabric type, beading, lace, stretch, embellishments, and previous alterations. While every effort is made to achieve the desired result, Finzy Alterations cannot guarantee that every alteration request can be completed exactly as envisioned.


No Guarantee of Perfect Fit

Finzy Alterations strives to achieve the best possible fit based on customer measurements, fittings, garment construction, and fabric limitations. Due to differences in body shape, posture, garment design, and fabric behavior, an exact or perfect fit cannot be guaranteed.


Customer Measurements

Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements when measurements are submitted remotely. Finzy Alterations is not responsible for fit issues resulting from inaccurate measurements supplied by the customer.


Fittings

Additional fittings may be required to achieve the best possible result. Customers are responsible for attending scheduled fittings when requested. Finzy Alterations cannot guarantee optimal fit when fitting appointments are missed or declined.


Garment Condition & Risk

Some garments may contain delicate fabrics, weakened seams, aging materials, lace, beads, sequins, embroidery, or previous alterations that increase the risk of damage during the alteration process.

While every precaution is taken, Finzy Alterations is not responsible for damage caused by the age, condition, construction, or pre-existing weakness of a garment.


Customer Inspection & Approval

Customers are responsible for inspecting garments during fittings and at pickup.

Acceptance and removal of the garment from Finzy Alterations constitutes approval of the completed work. Any concerns must be communicated before leaving with the garment.


Worn Garments

Once a garment has been worn, washed, dry cleaned, modified by another tailor, altered by a third party, or used for an event, Finzy Alterations cannot determine whether issues occurred before or after pickup.

No corrections, refunds, or claims will be accepted after a garment has been worn, washed, dry cleaned, or altered by another party.


Pre-Existing Conditions

Finzy Alterations is not responsible for hidden defects, weak seams, fabric deterioration, bead loss, lace damage, stains, tears, zipper failure, discoloration, or previous alterations completed by others.


Corrections

If an alteration issue directly caused by Finzy Alterations is identified within 72 hours of pickup and before the garment has been worn, washed, dry cleaned, or altered by another party, Finzy Alterations may offer a correction at its discretion.

Corrections do not include changes resulting from weight fluctuations, body changes, inaccurate measurements provided by the customer, or changes to the original alteration request.


Rush Services

Rush services are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

Rush fees compensate for schedule adjustments and priority processing and are non-refundable once work has begun.


Refund Policy

All alteration services are final sale.

Because alteration work is customized to each garment and customer, alteration services are non-refundable.


Pickup & Storage

Customers will be notified when garments are ready for pickup.

Garments not picked up within 60 days of completion may be donated, discarded, or otherwise handled at the discretion of Finzy Alterations. Finzy Alterations is not responsible for garments left beyond this period.


Limitation of Liability

Finzy Alterations' maximum liability for any claim arising from alteration services shall not exceed the amount paid for the alteration service itself.

Under no circumstances shall Finzy Alterations be responsible for consequential, incidental, emotional, special, or indirect damages, including missed events, dissatisfaction with fit, loss of use, or replacement value of a garment.


Photo Documentation

Finzy Alterations reserves the right to photograph garments before, during, and after alterations for quality control, documentation, training, marketing, and social media purposes.

Customers may request in writing that their garment not be used for marketing purposes.


Right to Refuse Service

Finzy Alterations reserves the right to refuse service for any garment that presents unreasonable risk, cannot be altered safely, is in poor condition, or falls outside the scope of services offered.


Acceptance of Terms

Submission of an alteration request, scheduling a fitting, dropping off a garment, or paying for services constitutes acceptance of these Policies & Terms.
